W6RDF, the former Point Loma Amateur Radio Club (PLARC) is transitioning to become much more of a radio operators group with a primary focus on emergency communications for defense as well as civilian needs. The Group maintains regular communications with California State EOC, MARS, and others.
The members use events such as the Cross-Domain Exchange (MARS), Field Day, and other events to develop and maintain proficiency in handling high-volume message traffic and operating (split) across military and amateur domains.
