Nemaha County Amateur Radio Organization (NCARO) is open to any licensed amateur radio person, but especially those living in Nemaha County Kansas. There are no membership dues. We do ask that you fill out a membership form. We focus on helping each other in the pursuit of this hobby. The club's vanity callsign is KB0MU to honor this silent key whose mentoring and donations has helped and are helping hams in the county.
The club has participated in field day the past two years. We have a representative on the local emergency planning committee as our county emergency management director's amateur radio member.
We are hoping to complete in 2023 the transaction for a new repeater that has analog and digital capabilities as well as being dual band (VHF/UHF).
The present RF node analog repeater has been upgraded and now has a node address within the EchoLink system.
