Indy United ARC is the latest evolution of two former clubs, the Indianapolis Radio League and the Legion of Indianapolis DXers.

We're a 50-member contest club with a primary focus on Field Day,  and our Field Day site is located near Centerton, southwest of Indianapolis between Mooresville and Martinsville. 

Founded in 2019, Indy United rose to prominence almost instantly, taking 2nd place in Class 3A on just 3 months' preparation.

Then, in 2020, we surprised even ourselves by winning the overall championship with a score of 17,330, besting more than 10,000 competitors. We followed that up with a runner-up finish in 2021, buoyed by our all-time Indiana Field Day record score of 19,666, the 3rd highest Class 3A total under modern (post-1971) Field Day rules. And in 2022, amid the post-pandemic return of mega-clubs, we remained among the elite with a 5th place finish.

Our name, Indy United, signifies our goal of being a unifying force for the amateur radio clubs and operators in the Indianapolis area and elsewhere in Indiana -- and, of course, we offer a hat tip to famed British soccer club Manchester United!
