- Description:
-
Radio Society of Tucson is an ARRL Special Service Club that promotes all aspects of Amateur Radio. The club has several open repeaters that are available to use by club members and non members alike. Club members participate in Field Day on Mt. Lemmon to escape the heat of the desert and enjoy preparing for emergency communications in the cool environment on the mountain. Mentoring of new members and new hams is available from RST.
Each monthly meeting includes a presentation of interest to amateur raddio operators.
RST has two hamfests each year, offers license classes, and license exams. RST also participates in Field Day and, a couple times a month, hosts Radio Day in the Park where hams set up portable equipment in a local park.
