The GARC meets the second Tuesday of each month with a planned program given by either a Club member or an outside speaker. The programs are of interest to different amateur radio members. The Club sponsors RACES, ARES, a DX Club, mentoring, contesting, Field Day, It also takes part in several community activities as a County Fair Parade, foot races, marathon, and other activities where communication is needed. The Club also works with the National Weather Service during bad weather by reporting local conditions to them. Some members are also involved in Project Life Saver.  . 

 The Club station has all forms of amateur radio equipment with 3 HF stations, several VHF stations an APRS station, Packet, and other digital  forms. The radios feed into a 140 foot tower with all forms of antennas on it.
